Text: Stories of Inspiration! Who do I look up to? By Melissa Elmira Yingst Hello! There are so many women in our community that I really looked up to in different area of my life. Personal growth, careers, media and many others. I feel so fortunate to have them. One person I remember first Deaf woman that can do media, who? Mary Lou Novitsky with Deaf Mosaic. When I was a little girl, I remembered watching her doing different interviews. When I was in Gallaudet, I started doing news. Now, I see more and more women doing their own shows. But really by looking back of who I looked up was Mary Lou. I would LOVE to sit with her one day to compare her experiences and my experiences from the past and now.
