A FUN-FILLED FAMILY EVENT

​Join us in our FOURTH annual ASL for All 5K fundraiser to foster Olathe as a "Shared Signing Community"!  Shared signing communities are localities where both Deaf and non-Deaf community members use a shared visual language to communicate with one another.  Non-Signers are welcomed!

This Fourth annual ASL for ALL 5K fundraiser will take place at Kansas School for the Deaf (KSD) leading through Johnson County Square Park and back to KSD.  Following the 5K race, there will be two Fun-Runs for children (50 yards for tots 6 yrs or under & 100 yards for kids aged 7 to 10) at the park in conjunction with an ASL Festival area offering booths.  ASL Activities will be provided at the conclusion of the Awards Ceremony.  

 

Race Schedule:

6:30 am- Registration Opens (Museum of Deaf History, Arts & Culture)

7:30 am- Race Begins

8:20 am- Tots-Fun-Run and Kids-Fun-Run

8:30 am- ASL Performance

 

Participant Packets will be ready for pick-up on Friday, Sept 25th from 10 am to 4 pm at the Museum of Deaf History, Arts & Culture, Inc. 455 E. Park Street, Olathe.  Water and refreshments will be available to registered participants.

 

All proceeds from this event will be split between the Kansas School for the Deaf Endowment Association (KSDEA) and the Museum of Deaf History, Arts & Culture (MDHAC) in support of their missions.

UN EVENTO FAMILIAR LLENO DE DIVERSIÓN

¡Únase a nosotros en nuestro CUARTO evento anual de recaudación de fondos ASL para Todos 5K para promover a Olathe como una "Comunidad de Signos Compartidos"! Las comunidades de signos compartidos son localidades donde tanto los miembros sordos como los no sordos de la comunidad utilizan un lenguaje visual compartido para comunicarse entre sí. ¡Los que no conocen el lenguaje de señas son bienvenidos!

Este TERCER evento anual de recaudación de fondos ASL para TODOS en 5K se llevará a cabo en el sendero Indian Creek, comenzando y terminando en Frontier Park. Después de la carrera de 5K, habrá dos carreras divertidas para niños (50 yardas para niños de 6 años o menos y 100 yardas para niños de 7 a 10 años) en el parque, junto con un área de festival ASL que ofrecerá puestos. Se llevarán a cabo presentaciones en ASL al finalizar la ceremonia de premiación.

Horario de la carrera: 6:30 am - Apertura de registro 7:30 am - Inicio de la carrera 8:20 am - Carreras divertidas para niños pequeños y niños 8:30 am - Presentación en ASL

Los paquetes para los participantes estarán listos para ser recogidos el viernes 25 de septiembre de 10 am a 4 pm en el Museo de Historia, Artes y Cultura de los Sordos, Inc. 455 E. Park Street, Olathe. Agua y refrigerios estarán disponibles para los participantes registrados.

Todos los ingresos de este evento se dividirán entre la Asociación de Dotación de la Escuela para Sordos de Kansas (KSDEA) y el Museo de Historia, Artes y Cultura de los Sordos (MDHAC) para apoyar sus misiones.
